Tom is professor emeritus, communication sciences & disorders, UW-Eau Claire, WI. As an academic & popular author, speaker & folk composer, he creates books, articles, stories, poetry & music of the Northland. A retired clinical speech-language pathologist, Tom credits his sister, Karen, who lived with special needs, as his first & best teacher of life success, grit & tenacity.
